From Ponferrada to Trabadelo, 34km
A sign just outside the hostal reminds me that there are almost 200km left. I stoppped to give importance to these signs because the keep changing.
Finally I get into the mountains, tomorrow I should be able to enter in Galicia
From Trabadelo to Tricastela, 40km
Should I walk back to the base?
The air is moist, tiny small droplets cover my face. Thick clouds cover the peaks and the view is amazing. I am in love with Galicia
And finally the sign: after more than 400 km I left behinf me Castile and I am welcome into Galicia, officially
Lost in the mountain there is this tiny remote village, but with a beautiful church, the oldest that I have met during the Camino. On a shelf inside there are the Bibles in more than 30 languages
From outside the village, the slope still goes up, till the highest point of the Royal walk, the Alto di San Roque
In the entrance of the village of La Faba there are some very old trees, of intricated shapes
Walking now is easier, not only because I am trained, but the air is fresh and I feel really quiet

From Ferreiros to Melide, 50km
I walk fast , almost no stop for almost 11 hours. I don't know why but I feel on rush, like I have to finish as soon as I can. I don't stop to take photos or to look around, but I follow the yellow arrows. On some on them I find the lyrics of famous songs
and this kind of hostal makes me smile. On the cardboard on the lest side there is written "free Wi-Fi". It makes me smile because a lot of pilgrims are always looking for internet access more than anything else, like an obsession.
In the late afternoon I enter the village of Melide. Along the walk I met some local pilgrims that suggested me to eat the octopus at Ezequiel's restaurant. It is delicious, very simple cooked, with extra virgin-olive oil and a little bit os spicy sauce, served on a woodden board.

From Melide to Pedrouzo, 34km
Today no photo at all, after walking 50 km yesterday, Santiago is just round the corner. Very excited , after 3 weeks of walking I've almost finished
The last part is just a 19 km walk
From Pedrouzo to Santiago de Compostela, 19km
Before entering Santiago , I can see the city from the top of the Monte Gozo
and this is the entrance of the city, Finally!
Santiago is bigger than the other villages, there is much more to see, but of course all the attention is focused on the Cathedral. It's half past 10, and the streets are plenty of people, pilgrims and tourists. Pity that the front side of the Cathedral is covered with shelves
But at least I am able to attend the 12-mess and visit the Santiago's chapel
And this is the main entrance, with the gate and the statue of Santiago, where the pilgrims supposed to bend on his knee and enter into the cathedral
In the plaza Do Obradoiro there are also the Hostal de los Reyes Catolicos and the Pazo de Raxoi
At the end of my Camino I don't have any answer, because I didn't have any question. For sure you have a lot of time to think and to reflect and for sure you ended up plenty of questions...
