Often described as the Little Paris of the Middle Europe, is divided in 2 main area, on the east coast of the Danube the old Pest, while on the west coast Buda, with the Castel district. The city is not big, and you can easily walk, and I think in 3 days you are able to visit all the main "attractions".
On the west side, in the south part of the Castel district there is the Gellert Hill. From the top, almost 1401mt, there is a view of all Budapest
Walking through the park up to the hill, you can reach the statue of St Gellert, blessing the city
On the top of the hill there is the Citadel, and the Liberation Monument, placed here to commemorate the liberation in 1945 from the Russian army. The central figure is a woman holding a plam leaf, while on the basement 2 composition representing the battle with evil and the progress.
Walking down the hill, on the south slope, you can reach the Rock Curch and the statue of St Istvan
with a just a short walk to Gallert hotel and Bath complex
